  1. Oops I didn’t think my first post went, so I tried to reconstruct my comment again and now see it listed twice

  2. I have hundreds of photos taken over the past 8 or 9 years that I’ve done nothing with sitting on my computer. I’m now using Picasa to edit and crop them and put them into folders based on month and year. After watching your videos on Google Photos, I’m getting the impression that if I chose to upload the photos to Google Photos, that I can do the same thing that I’m doing in Picasa up there in the cloud. Does this make any sense or is there a case for both Picasa and Google Photos..

  3. I have hundreds of photos taken over 8 or 9 years that I’ve done nothing with up until now. I’ve started to file them according to month and year, ie 102015 etc. I’m now getting the impression that if I want to store my photos in “google photos”, that I I don’t need to do the “I’m feeling lucky, cropping and file management in Picasa . Is there a need or reason to use Picasa as well as Google Photos, or should I just upload all the pix to Google Photos and do all my editing up there??

  4. Hi Chris,
I have not been paying attention for the last few months. 🙂 for various reasons.

When I was at your seminar last year at Pismo Beach… I think it was last year… you suggested Dropbox for downloading photos onto the computer and I have been using it ever since. I’m just now trying to use Picasa too.
Have you switched to using Google Photos instead of Dropbox? I will continue looking through your site for newby info on Google Photos but would appreciate any guidance to Tutorials incase I haven’t found them. Thanks! Judy 2006 Roadtrek 190P

    • Judy,
I’m still grappling with how to adjust my workflow for Google Photos. The problem with just using Google Photos backup/sync instead of dropbox is that it doesn’t send the photos to my computer like Dropbox does. I’m close to having a new system that uses google Photos primarily … article coming soon 🙂 So, if you can afford the data costs, I would use both Dropbox and Google Photos Backup/Sync … for the time being.
