All the pictures that my spouse takes with her phone have been saved under her Google name in Google Photos . Pictures that I take are saved under my Google Photos name, we would like to combine them into one account. Is there a way to change that so pictures taken both by her and myself go to the same saved Google account in Photos? In other words a Master Google Photos account for all pictures and videos taken from all our phones and tablets.
There are people who use one account for two people, but that gets real messy. The preferred method is to have your own accounts, and then set up Partner Sharing which gives each of you access to the others photo library with the choice of saving (copying) any desired photos to your own account.
If you have the book (and as a member you have access to the ebook here) Partner Sharing (or Shared Library) is covered on page 131.
Basically you go to Settings, Find Partner sharing, Send an invite to your spouse and specify which photos (one person or all) she has access to. When she accepts the invite, she can specify which photos she wants automatically saved in her account.
