Here is a download of the Windows Movie Maker setup. It has worked for me all the way up to Windows 10.
Click on the link. You should get a prompt to download the wlsetup-web.exe file. Save it to your local hard drive and run it.
Let me know if it works for you.

hmmm – we’re both still using Movie Maker on our Windows 10 laptops, but I tried to install it fresh and I did hit a roadblock. Microsoft’s website has taken it down. So …. it doesn’t look good.
BUT, the Photos app that comes with Windows 10 has video editing capability baked in. Here’s the Microsoft help page on that: https://support.microsoft.com/…..ate-videos
And – if all you want to do is trim, google Photos can do that. This ability is only on mobile though. You need to have the video in question as part of your Google Photos library, then open it on an iOS or Android device. Tap the edit button then you’ll see the video frames at the bottom along with white bars to mark the beginning and the end. Drag them to the position you want and tap save.
Hope that helps.

Steve – good to hear! Thanks for the follow up.
Dale – Did you try the Photos app that comes with Windows 10 has video editing capability baked in. Here’s the Microsoft help page on that: https://support.microsoft.com/…..ate-videos
What version of Windows to you have? You might try the Photos app that came with it. And do you by any chance use Picasa? It can trim video that is stored on your computer. Google Photos can trim video that is stored in Google Photos in the cloud.
If you just want to combine photos and videos into a movie with music, Google Photos can do that too.
If you want transitions, titles, voice over, along with combining photos and videos – we are currently using WeVideo. It has a free version to try and see if you like it. We are paying $60/year for more features. It works on the web, or as an iOS or Android app.
