I go to movie maker- browses for video, click on video clip I want then Open. After I edit I go to file, save movie, recommended

for this project, type in name then Save.

Go to DVD Styler, file browser I get the four clips of the movie I already made, scroll down and there is the movie I just edited.

Drag it to menu 1 (this file contains video in NTSC format. Do you want to change DVD format to NTSC TOO?  (YES)

Go to left top and click BURN. It burns the video but no audio. The original has audio.

When I go to movie maker, file, recent projects, it gives the name of the video. (name.wimp), what is wimp?

Thank You

Richard Rice

That’s .wLmp = Windows Live MovieMaker Project.  That is not your finished movie, that is the project where you can go back and make changes to the movie.  The saved movie probably has a .mp4 extension.  If you used the .wlmp file that could explain the lack of audio – if not, I don’t now why there’s no audio.

The .wlmp file is your working project.  To make a final movie, you need to use the File->Save Movie command.  If you choose the setting “Recommended for this project” it defaults to creating a .mp4 file, but if you want .wmv, then you can click the dropdown arrow at the bottom by .mp4 and you will see the option for .wmv.

The basic process is covered in the 2d tutorial video: A Quick Movie in 6 steps

Hope that helps
