I have downloaded Movie Maker from the Microsoft site and it appears to load ok.  When I try to run it there is a very brief indication that something tried to happen, but it never runs.  Removed and reloaded but no help.  Anyone else have this problem?

thanks,

Howard

Well … finally got it to work.  Downloaded v2.6 which said it was for Vista … and finally, it loads now.  Did get it from the Microsoft site.

So know I can try to put the knowledge gained from the tutorial to work.  Smile

hmmm – not sure what is going on.  Since you solved your problem I didn’t look into it.  But – you mention version 2.6 … that’s really old.  I’m using version 2012 and my .mp4 files work just fine with it.

I doubt that our videos look at all like version 2.6?

That said, if need be – you can find conversion programs that will take .mp4s and turn theminto .wmv or avi files.  One such program I see mentioned elsewhere is http://www.freemake.com/  I haven’t used it so can’t vouch.
