Believe it or not I still us my 2013 S&Ts for planning.  But I’ve suddenly forgotten how to copy the driving instructions from S&Ts to my Excel.  We’re going on a two month trip and I really need the form I make with Excel.  I just can’t remember how to copy the driving instructions/times to then paste it into Excel.  I can edit Excel to shorten the itinerary I make to take with us.

Anyone know how to cut and paste S&Ts to the cvs version of Excel.

Thanks!!

Barb,

I don’t have S&T available to me while we’re on the road – I would try the File->Send to command, or maybe Print to … and then change the printer to text ??

Here is a thread I found on Laptop GPS World about exporting to Excel, it suggests you can drag a GPX file onto an open Excel sheet.

Let us know if anything works.

Your comments were helpful.  I finally was able to get my S&Ts instructions transferred to Excel.  I guess I had some aging memory lost.  It was driving me crazy.

1.  Basically used cut/paste.  Right click on top of S&T directions. Clicked on drop down with “directions”.  Went to open Excel program and clicked on paste.  I get a lot more info than I want and then widen some columns and delete many rows.  Final itinerary looks something like this.  Mine usually has more detail for stops, etc.

Time       Miles      Description  (2017 Trip to Arizona)

Day 1                   Monday, Feb 27, 2017,  Home to Paso Robles:

10:00  am       0     Depart Home

4:00 pm     205.5  Arrive Cass Winery & Cafe

Thanks,  Barbara Dalderis
