I really enjoyed your 538.SM-Android: How to scan to pdf with Google Drive Scan widget. I have used this with great success, but have one question.
It seems that the Widget does not upload to my drive unless I’m on a Wi-Fi connection. On my data connection it does not upload, and when checking on it the app says “waiting for Wi-Fi”.
Is Wi-Fi connection to the internet the only way for this widget to upload? Or do I have a setting somewhere on my Android S7 not set correctly?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Absolutely. There is a setting for that.
Open the Drive app, tap the 3-line menu, tap Settings, way down at the bottom > Data Usage, disable the “Transfer files only over Wi-Fi” setting.
It’s important to recognize this will use cellular data. If you have a limited plan, you want to make sure this doesn’t use too much data.
