Hi Jim and Chris,

My Samsung A50 will not save my photo edits.  I have rebooted the phone, cleared app data and cache and nothing helps.  .  Internal storage is 29.1 gb of 64 and Memory is 2.2 gb of 4.  I have cleared all photos from my phone.  Also, I recently took a 23 minute video and it took 24 hours to upload.  Not sure if related issues or not.  Appreciate your help.

Frank, are you using an SD card? If so, there are extra permissions needed for Google Photos to write to the SD card. My recommendation is to look at the camera settings and be sure the photos are being stored in Internal Storage instead.

How about using the computer? Can you edit your photos there?

As for the 23 minute video taking 24 hours … I have heard other recent reports of this – hopefully just a glitch/busy time on the Google servers.

Photos aren’t being saved to my SD card but it does have a lot of photos on it that I need to move or delete.  I’m sure they are already backed up however that can’t be the problem as the photos I want to edit aren’t there.  The photos I want to edit have been backed up to the computer and I can make and save edits there.  It’s just on the camera that I can’t.  Still looking for a cause.

Finally got it fixed…I think.  Somehow the camera setting was set to save to the SD card.  It’s been fine until just last week.  I knew it had to be the phone since I could edit on the computer.  Had nothing to do with Google Photos but the camera setting.  Thanks for your help.
