Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
I don’t know if this should be in Google Photos or smart phone. Just recently My Dear Bride and I have discovered that we can no longer get the photo to turn sideways on the long part of the phone for viewing. This is on the same model of I Phone we both have. Is this something updated by Google photos or what? We have checked settings and there is nothing there.
Thanks, and we enjoy your shows and teachings. One of these das we will figure out Zoom and get right in there with you all. We always have questions.
Yes – we hope to see you on Zoom sometime!
As for viewing photos sideways – you should be able to do that. Nothing has changed in Google Photos. Usually, inability to rotate a photo is because of the Portrait Lock button in the Control Center. The control center is the group of special settings with quick access. To access the control center:
- on older iphones – swipe up from the bottom
- on newer phones- swipe down from the top right corner
- You should see something like this (click to enlarge)
The “Portrait Lock” button is in the middle at the left – the lock with the circular arrow around it. If it’s red, then your phone won’t rotate the screen. Just tap it to allow rotation. I sometimes find that the rotate is locked even though the button is not red. In that case I turn it on (red) then turn it off again.
If that doesn’t help, please reply again.
