Hi Mrs Geek
How do I make my iPhone ring longer? I don’t carry it with me at home and often I can’t get from one room to the other in time to answer it. Just missed a doctor’s call. I googled it but the answer was complicated and it looked like I might end having difficulties with their method.(Chris Galoway)

Lou,
I know exactly what you’re talking about. It’s a common complaint. Remember when landlines would ring until the caller hung up? Then came answering machines and then voicemail.
We were conditioned to always answer a call. It was usually someone you knew back then. Times have changed.
I’ve seen the steps to try to extend the default of 20 secs to 30 or more. It doesn’t always work but it may help and won’t hurt.
Have you tried asking your cellular provider? Customer support may be able to help.
I’ve resigned myself to not worry about missing a call. I’ll call them back. They’ll understand.
The only alternative is to have your phone on you at all times. What a pain.
