These would be phones I take with my camera and reside on my computer. I would like to have some of them on my Droid.
We just found out that Verizen offers Android Workshops. We are taking one this morning. Go to http://www.verizonwireless.com/workshops for a schedule in your area.
Thanks for the link to the workshops .. .let us know how you liked it!
As for transferring between Droid and Computer .. honestly, I've only transferred the other way ..
- I take a picture with the Droid
- I connect the Droid to the computer via USB
- I open 'notifications' on the Droid and choose, “USB connected” to copy files to/from computer
then 'Turn on USB storage - As soon as I do #3, I get the popup that includes, “Copy pictures and view them with Picasa”
I choose that to import pictures from my phone TO my computer and view them with Picasa
To go the other way, follow steps 1-3, then you should notice your Droid shows up in My Computer as a drive. Mine shows up as Removeable Disk I: So, I can navigate to My Pictures, find the pictures you want on the phone and Copy. Then navigate to Removeable Disk I: and the DCIM folder and Camera subfolder and Paste them there. You should now be seeing the copied pictures on your phone's gallery.
A better way, if you use Picasa, is to have your Picasa Web Albums show in your phone's Gallery. I have that happening on mine … I'm afraid I don't remember how I did it If that's something you'd like to do let me know, and I'll put my memory cap on to figure it out!

Well I was able to download some jpg photos from my computer to my Droid. I just did it the other day and now I'm not sure how I did it. I think I just attached the Droid to my computer with the USA cable and dropped the file in the Droid. They do show up in the Gallery shortcut in the Droid.

The Droid can work like a USB flash drive when connected to a PC. You will see in the notification area that the USB is connected. Tap on the notification and Turn on USB Storage.
The Droid already has folders. Look for the DCIM folder and then the Camera folder inside. That is where the Droid camera stores pictures. While you can drop pictures anywhere on the Droid, this is probably the best place.
