I’ve been a member since March but am way behind on viewing your emails and have only started to look at your videos and have never visited the forum before tonight so maybe this has been covered.
I have a gmail account (which I only use on for special occasions) but I don’t know if that means that I have a google account. I was reviewing your show notes for “backing up your phone” and saw that you recommend backing up to google. I’d like to back up my iPhone but don’t know if I have a google account or, if I do, how to get to it.
Any help would be appreciated. I hope I can figure out how to get back to any answer you might provide.

If you want to backup your entire iPhone, the easiest thing to do is to use Apple’s iCloud backup: Settings, iCloud, Backup – turn it ON. (if you have more than 5GB to back up, you may have to purchase more storage – it’s only $.99/mo)
I prefer Google, but it’s not “Backing up your Phone” I use all Google Apps – Gmail, google Photos, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, etc. and they are all automatically synchronized online and to all my other devices, both Apple and Android. ANd – yes, your gmail address is your google account credentials.
It sounds like you watched the Button show episode on backup, but just in case, here it is: Backing up your Smartphone
