You’ve convinced me to switch to GMail etc so I’m not renewing my Office 365 subscription. I re-viewed lessons 48 and 49 and am in the process of cleaning up my contacts. I’m sure this Q has been asked and answered but can’t find it.
I’m somewhere and someone gives me their card. I like to scan it (take a picture) from Contacts. That puts it on my Sam S7 in Contacts. How do I get it (automatically?) to Google Contacts without having to export?
i just added a fake contact to test. It never gave me an option to share/save it in Google.
And, strange, it shows up if I go into the Contacts button but not if I use the Phone button and look for contacts.
Thanks! Enjoy your trip!

Follow on question: I opened contacts (Sam S7) and went to create a new contact. I scrolled down to “Scan Business Card”. It worked and did a pretty good job of capturing all the info on the card. AND it saved it to Google Contacts. Perfect.
BUT….in Google Contacts, I cannot see the card. Best I can do is set a small portion of the card as a photo for that contact. Am I missing something, again? I can see the card if I open that contact in Sam S7’s contact app.
PS, for grins I just created a new contact and simply took a picture of the card. Again, the card shows up fine in Sam S7 contacts but not in Google Contacts
When you say “Google Contacts” are you referring to the web, Contacts.google.com?
Does the contact info show up, and just not the image of the card? Or is there no contact info at all?
It sounds like the card scan is just supported by the Samsung contact app. Why Google doesn’t have a contact app is a mystery.
Bottom line, I don’t think you’re missing anything – I think the Google Contact has no place to show images.

are you referring to the web, Contacts.google.com? Yes.
Does the contact info show up, and just not the image of the card? Yes. Or is there no contact info at all? It does a good job of figuring out the contact info and posting it.
I think the Google Contact has no place to show images. Agree. I want my money back from Google . I can live with it. I’m starting to like the All Google Outlook/Office kinda applications. Thanks for the guidance and help.
Cool! Thanks for the follow up.
Y’know – if you don’t care to have a person’s face on a Google Contact, you can try using that spot for the photo of the business card. actually … it would probably be too small … but at least the logo? Anyway, check out this section of our What Does This Button Do show for a sweet tip about adding photos to contacts.
