I’m learning to use Bixby on my new Samsung 10 phone. I always loved and frequently used the voice command to take a photo on my previous phones; i.e. smile, cheese, shoot, etc.
I don’t see that option on this new phone. I tried google for an answer. Must I uninstall Bixby in order to get that command to work with my camera?

Yes, Chris. That’s where I initially went but kept receiving a message that voice command would not work while Bixby wake up was on. I went to Samsung and “chatted” with a rep for almost a full hour before he found a way to get around Bixby and make the voice commands work. The Samsung website was incredible. They had me download an app from the playstore called “smart tutor” and then they had control of my phone. Quite amazing. Problem is now solved….and it wasn’t easy!
That’s good to know. I have yet to turn on Bixby, maybe I had a premonition?
Have you found any good uses for Bixby? I’d love to hear.
As for voice control of camera – I don’t use it as much as I used to. I find that I prefer to set a timer. On the Samsung, the timer can be set separately for selfies and regular photos. So, I just leave it always on a 5 second timer for selfies. That way, I get accustomed to tapping the shutter button – then I have 5 seconds to frame the shot before it snaps itself. I really like it.
Of course, there are still times that my hands are full when I want to take a regular photo – then being able to say “shoot” does come in very handy. I’m glad you got it sorted.
