Renaming pictures in Dropbox

I recently took some pictures with my Droid and attempted to rename the picture.  After renaming, the picture “went away”, in other words, I couldn’t find it again with the name on it.  The basic picture was on the other devices, i.e., laptop and PC, but not named.

I also took many picture this week at the Oshkosh Air Venture and attempted to create an “Air Show” album.  The Album then showed and indicated I could “drag & drop” the pictures into the album – but it wasn’t accepting the pictures.

Sorry for putting two topics into one query.  Can you help with both situations?

Bruce,

I’m really not sure what happened to your renamed picture, I don’t see why it would ‘go away’.  Are you looking for it using Picasa?  or just Windows?  or are you doing everything in Dropbox?  I use the dropbox Camera Uploads folder just as a means of transfer.  My pictures are taken using the smartphone, they show up in Dropbox Camera Uploads folder.  I cut them from there and paste into my Pictures.  From now on, I use Picasa to work with them and Upload them to Picasa Web albums if I want to share.  Maybe you’re using the Dropbox website to do your sharing?

When you say “It indicated that I could drag and drop” … that’s not a message that comes up in Picasa, so I think you are using the Dropbox website … I just tried that and it did, indeed let me drag and drop additional pictures into a shared album.  Do you get any other message?
