I just viewed the video on Google Keep and have a few questions:
1) If I don;t have internet can I still make entries and will Google Keep upload them when I have connectivity again?
2) Does Keep use my “free” data for storage or is it separate?
3) Can I upload pdf’s into Keep and use the search feature? I am currently using Evernote and not too happy with it.
4) If I create a reminder for a location will Keep remind me every time I go to that location or do I need to re-enter the reminder?
Thanks
Sue
Great questions Sue!
1) If I don;t have internet can I still make entries and will Google Keep upload them when I have connectivity again?
YES! on the phone app – not a computer
2) Does Keep use my “free” data for storage or is it separate?
YES! storing notes on Google Keep is unlimited
3) Can I upload pdf’s into Keep and use the search feature? I am currently using Evernote and not too happy with it.
No way that I know of to upload a .pdf to Keep. You can upload .pdf’s to Drive, but you’ll only be able to search the titles. You might be stuck with Evernote on that one.
4) If I create a reminder for a location will Keep remind me every time I go to that location or do I need to re-enter the reminder?
hmmm – I don’t know. My guess is that it will remind you every time it sees you are at that location – until you delete it.

That works but it also gets rid of the reminders I have on calendar. I guess it is one or the other. My plan had been to get rid of my little notebook with my daily to do list that I need to re-write every few days and use Keep. I like Keep for that but I didn’t realize Keep would add to my personal calendar. I think I will create another email just for Keep and let it mess up that calendar. I remember reading something that I can have “sub” ids by adding a “.” to my id. Time to play a bit.

Since your show last week I’m getting into using Google Keep as well. And I have set up a few reminder lists for myself. I don’t use Google Calendar – I use Apple’s native app for calendar so not having anything added automatically to calendar that I put on list.
I have reminder list of calls I need to make. I made another reminder list of all appts & events we have scheduled for month of August and a 2nd (much) larger list of all the medical appts my hubby has had and will have for this entire year, January to December, with notes included of what we need to remember to ask docs on the future visits and short summarization on the completed visits. Much easier keeping track of things this way than in appointment calendar or trying to keep paper notes.
Oh and today I had no problem in printing out from my phone a medication list that I have in Keep. Just did a screen shot and sent to printer. It printed just that list, no background stuff (as your guest speaker had on the show).
Thanks again for educating us on all this technology stuff. I will keep on pushing those buttons!
