I use Dropbox and have the app on my cell phone (Droid Raz), Samsung Tablet, laptop and desktop. Oh, and on my Color Nook. So if I drop a jpg photo into one any of my Dropbox sites it appears on all the others. I have my Droid phone set up to automatically put a copy of any photos I take right into my Dropbox. Then on my Desktop I save the photo to my hard drive.
I also keep ebook files in Dropbox, so they are available to read in all my Dropbox locations. Also keep my recipe files on Dropbox. Always, have that favorite receipe with me.
I also share folders on Dropbox with family and friends. Very handy.
So I would think you should have an app for Dropbox on your desktop and iPhone to share files between the two.
Yes – the folders on your computer dropbox should just be showing up on your iPhone dropbox. That’s how dropbox works.
- You have the dropbox app installed on your iphone
- You’re logging in with the same account on both computer and iphone
Have you completed all the steps in Dropbox’s Getting Started

What exactly doesn’t work? For example, I can get a link to a dropbox folder of my pictures, she should be able to click the link and see the pictures. If she wants them saved into her own Dropbox folder, she could use the download button.
