Several ideas come to mind. I would start with the simplest and work from there. I probably need more information. Tell me what steps you have taken since you discovered you can no longer import pictures.

All problems break down into hardware, software, and operating system. Something has changed in one of these three if it was working, and now it is not. We need to determine what has changed.

You only gave me info on the cameras. What kind of computer, Mac or PC? What operating system are you running?

What has changed with the computer since it last worked to import pictures? System updates? Any new programs installed?

You have restarted the computer, right? Rebooting the computer often fixes things.

You are connecting the cameras using USB cable? Have you tried a different port or another cable? Can you import pictures directly from the Canon’s camera card using a card reader?

A system restore might get things working again.

Let me know.

There was an issue with Import in a previous version of Picasa.  I don’t see how it could just be surfacing now, but it wouldn’t hurt to make sure you have the latest one.  Go to http://www.picasa.google.com and click the big blue box for “Download Picasa”  it will just install right over your existing Picasa software, everything else is untouched.

If that doesn’t help, then you may just need to use Windows to import your pictures.  Picasa doesn’t care how the pictures get onto your computer, as long as they are in a folder under My Pictures, Picasa will see them next time you open Picasa.
