I have recently purchased a Google Pixel 3XL, having had a samsung S7, I am loving it BUT I am unable to connect my google photos to my google home. I know how to get up the ambient photos, but there doesnt seem to be anywhere that I can edit, to be able to send the google photos to the television. I am wondering that maybe there is a setting in the phone that I have to make.
I would be grateful for any suggestions
regards Gail
Were you able to do it with your Samsung? I ask because I’ve heard reports about certain TVs not working right with it.
If you could use the Google Home app and edit your ambient Google Photos settings with your Samsung and now you can’t with your Pixel3 – then I don’t know. Jim’s Pixel 4XL can use the Home app and edit ambient mode to select different albums in Google Photos.
One thing you might try, is using the Google Photos feature called Photo Frames to change the albums displaying on your TV.
- Open Google Photos on your phone
- Choose Library, then Utilities, scroll down to select “Manage Photo Frames”
- Select your TV
- Deselect old albums and select new albums to display on your TV.
Let me know.
