A BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) usually means a misbehaving program or driver is not releasing system resources when it closes. Shutting the computer down sounds like the trigger in your case.
Updates to the system are a common cause and are usually fixed in later updates as they are reported.
Check on HP’s website for updates for your model computer.
The right-click on the desktop not working could be a glitch in your mouse driver or display driver. I would look in the Device Manager to see if there is anything obviously wrong there as a first step.
It’s probably nothing to worry about as long as the computer seems to be running properly and the blue screen only happens on shut-down. If you get a BSOD during normal operation, then you need to take action.
