I still don’t understand archiving in gmail. I don’t want to completely delete a message in case I want it back later so I choose archive as an option. Now I want that message back. Where is it?? I can’t find any place actually called archive. I go to the search but can’t find what I’m looking for. I don’t find one of your tutorials on the subject either. Help??
You’re exactly right that archiving is for those messages that you want to keep but you want them out of your inbox. Search should find them. If you want to look for them manually, it’s different from Google Photos where Archive is a specific place. In GMail, Archive just means take it out of the inbox and leave it in the giant bucket of ALL Mail. So, you should see it if you use the left sidebar and choose All Mail.
We haven’t done many, if at all, videos on Gmail. Let me know if this helps and, if not I’ll make a little video.
