I have 10s of thousands of housewatch photos in my google photos account.  If I delete a bunch of old ones, will that free up storage and allow me to continue with free storage?  or would those be counted in my grandfathered free space?

If those 10s of thousands of photos were uploaded in High Quality, they don’t count. They don’t use any storage, so deleting them will not free up any storage. If they were not uploaded in High Quality, you should convert them now – before June 1.

Here is my checklist of what to do before June 1.

Hope that helps.
