Hello, This has happened several times. My icon will disappear when I click on  “ok”. I have to then go later into the ” all programs” and select BU&S to get the icon back showing in the lower bar that it is working. Why does this happen?

I will have to do some learning now that One Drive & BU&S will no longer be working together. I look forward to your comments on this.  I guess the saying “the only thing constant is change” definitely applies to Google Photos.  One thing for sure, these changes keep you on your toes. :>)

hmmm – I’m not sure. But, if Backup and Sync (BUS) reports that it has to stop, then something is wrong. Either you have some corrupted files that BUS is trying to back up and getting stuck on, or there is something else going on in your computer that is conflicting, or BUS has gotten corrupted. See if you can notice what is happening right before you get that error message. You might want to uninstall and reinstall Google Backup and Sync software. btw – when you need to restart it, you could just type “backup” into the windows search and run the program from there – it’s just a little quicker than going thru all programs. As for “One Drive & BU&S will no longer be working together”  First of all, I assume you mean Google Drive since OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage service. Google Drive and BUS will still be working together, what will stop working is Google Photos and Google Drive. That means that Google Backup and Sync will still upload from your computer to Google Photos and/or Google Drive, it just won’t be able to download your Google Photos to your computer.
