Sure this has been answered but the transition from Picassa to Photos etc confuses me. Starting a blog for our mega trip next week. I take a picture with my Samsung S5. It shows up in Photos on all our platforms.
I don’t see how I can get it from Photos to Blogger.
I also forget how to find where Widows 10 stored the actual picture. I know how to use Windows Explorer and I did the organizing like you teach in one of the videos (year and month) and can see the older ones. But now I can’t find the ones I took since Nov ’15.
Thanks in advance. Steve
I’m assuming that you’ve been using your Samsung phone for pictures since Nov 15? Realize that pictures taken with a mobile device and automatically UPloaded to Google Photos, will NOT be automatically DOWNloaded to your computer. Here’s my diagram of how it works: (click to enlarge)
If you want your pictures on your computer’s hard drive, you need to either
- get them directly from the phone – by USB cable
- Download them from Google Photos (see this article: Getting Your Pictures Down from the Google Photos Cloud)
- Use a synchronizing system like Dropbox
Blogger can get your pictures straight from Google Photos. When you click the Insert Image button, use the “From Your Phone” option. That will show you all photos in Google Photos that have been Auto-Backed up, either from your phone, or your computer.
Does that help?
