Today – 12/19/13 at 2pm EST we are doing a live webinar on making Collages with Picasa. This message thread is intended to be a place where we can write the Quick Notes on what we’ll be covering and give links for more information.
To view the webinar live you don’t need to download any special software and you need no special equipment. If you can view a Youtube video, you can watch this webinar.
- Just browse over to https://geeksontour.com/2013/12…..-collages/ This is the location that we will be monitoring live for any questions you may have. There is a simple Chat box on the right where anyone can identify themselves and then type whatever comments or Questions you may have.
After the live event is over, the recording will be available on our Yutube channel and our Google Plus page as well as the link above. We will add a comment to this forum post to give you the links.
If you’re a member, please reply to this forum post with any questions you may have.
The webinar will be 30-40 minutes long and it will be recorded, so you can view it at any time. Chris and Jim will walk you thru making a couple different types of collages during the webinar.
For more detailed instructions, we have a series of tutorial videos available to members, just click the link below:
We just finished the live webinar on Picasa Collages!
The recording is available for all to watch on Youtube at Picasa Collages. We will be doing more of these, please Subscribe to our Youtube channel and you will be able to see them all.
If you are a member, be sure to watch the the Picasa Short Course: Collages and Banners This is a series of 8 tutorial videos that go into more detail than we did in the webinar. There is also a 2 page Quick Notes document that you can print out for reference.

Good day Chris & Jim
Great job on the webinar.
The only comment I have is when on Hangouts we see the Q & A panel and not the text box as in You Tube.
So when you asked the watchers to answer a question:
Entering a question on Hangouts is a little more involved and take a few seconds to show on the screen.
With the Q & A block open in hangouts the view of your screen is small you have to click on the left side of the screen to close the
Q & A window (found it by error LOL ). May be worth looking at Hang out settings to see if it allows you to format the user screen during a broadcast.
It would have helped to have hangout link in the email for those of us with phones smarter than us LOL
Getting around Google + is still new to most of us.
I had 5 guest in the conference room to watch the webinar look forward to more great training from Geeks on Tour !
We have come a long way since the first remote between Geeks on Tour and the Mass Good Sam
Oh Yea! Very humble beginnings back in May 2010! Here’s my blog post about that first web-based meeting that you arranged.
So … when you say “Hangouts” I think you’re referring to the embedded viewer on our GeeksOnTour website page. This is the only link I sent out in advance. I figured a lot of people don’t want to go to Google Plus.
The video was/is available at 4 different locations. My thought is that the first one (on a Geeksontour.tv page) was the least confusing and had the best way to ask questions. I’d like to know more about what you found.
- Video (live and recorded) embedded on GeeksONTour.TV page using a chatbox plugin to provide area for asking questions. Nice that you can still see the questions/comments even now – and add more.

- Google+ Geeks on Tour Event
- Facebook page – posted the embedded video there

Thanks for the replay I will try and detail the comment a little better this week.
Yes I did follow the link to the GOT web at first and went to G+ with the smarter than me phone
The company fire wall does not allow You Tube for more than 10 min per day
My plan is more study work on Geeks On Tour videos during the Christmas break
Will be in touch
