I don't know how many times I've tried to get into Picasa, either online or on my cell phone. It tells me I'm already on and to try another name, etc. I've created many accounts, but can't log into any of them. Even when Picasa says I'm already on, I can't upload a picture or do anything with it. I guess I need a very basic “how to get into Picasa” lesson. I tried asking through email and help, but was directed here. Also, if I'm ever able to get onto Picasa, how to I move “my pictures” to Picasa? I haven't wanted to even try this, as I was afraid I would never see them again, since I'm unable to enter Picasa. Thanks, Katy
I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do.
Picasa is software on your computer to manage your digital photos – there is no 'getting in' or 'logging on' there is just installing the free software and then using it to work with your photos on your computer.
You may be referring to Picasa Web Albums which is a website for you to share photos. You need a google account in order to use Picasa Web Albums.
You may want to review a couple of the tutorial videos in our Picasa Learning Library: /learning-library/picasa/

When I try to upload a photo to Picasso, it says I have to sign in. When I try, it says already have an account, to try a new account or go back . New accounts only work once. If I ho back, I can’t upload the photo. How do I get photos in, without signing in? I’ve downloaded the software, but haven’t been able to use it.
Okay, let's take it step by step. I have a picture on my smartphone. I click on it and then the share sign comes up, I click on picasa to upload it to picasa on my computer. I get a screen on my phone that says “add a google account” It says either create or sign in. When I tap sign in, I use my account name and pass word. It says I already have an account by that name, but doesn't upload the picture. Very simply, I want to upload smartphone camera pictures to picasa and then use them on my computer. How do I do this? I know it's very basic, but I can't get any further to use it, despite trying for several months. I want to use your info, but that is tough when I can't get any pictures into Picasa from my phone/camera. Thank you, Katy
I really think it's better to go directly from your smartphone to the computer. You connect the cable that came with your phone and attach to the computer thru the USB. Then it looks like any other camera card and you can import to the computer using Picasa. Here's the video on that: pics48.Import Pictures from an Android Smartphone
That said, you certainly should be able to share from your smartphone directly to Picasa Web Albums online. Check your phone's settings … from the home screen: Menu, Settings, Accounts and Sync. Is your google account listed there? I just have one google account listed and that setting makes it so that when I touch calendar on my smartphone, I get my google calendar, when I touch email, I get my Gmail, and my Picasa Web album. All three things are set up thru that one account.
Hope that helps
