Do you “recommend shooting in RAW?  WHich photo prpocessing software do you think is most effective?

Personally, I don't shoot in RAW.  The files are *way* too big.  I don's see any reason to go that far unless you are a professional photographer and really know what you're doing.  Picasa does handle RAW files, but, if you're at that level, you'll probably do your editing with Photoshop.

I'm sure others may disagree … maybe they'll respond here.
