I frequently print 4X6 borderless photos from my photo files but for some reason when I try to do so from Google Photos they come out with a border in spite of having made all the appropriate adjustments to the various dialogue boxes. This does not happen when I print from Mac Photos or in the past Picasa.
What I expect you have discovered is that Google Photos does not have any native printing capabilities. If you’re on your computer and you’re printing from Google Photos – it’s actually your browser (Chrome) doing the printing. Any dialog boxes I expect are just your printer’s dialog. I expect your borderless prints from Mac Photos or Picasa are due to settings in those programs.
The preferred way of printing from Google Photos is using the service from Walmart or CVS. It’s very easy – select the photo(s), (don’t open a photo, just select it) click the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner and Order Prints. They make very nice 4X6 prints. Here’s more details in an article of mine on printing with Google Photos.
Hope that helps.
