Google+ will not allow Blogger to get a picture shared.  No other option to get the picture to the web and give a link to an embedded line.  Why?  How can I get pictures into blogs without the embedded info.  Must be doing something wrong today. Got it to work yesterday. Can I get out of Google+. How?  Am not interested in more storage and definitely not interested in releasing info to Google.

Hey Roxie,

Even though there is not an “Embed” link – you can still do it.  If you can see the photo on Google+ Photos, you can just right-click and select “Copy Image URL” (that’s with Chrome). Then, in Blogger use insert image “from Web” paste the URL and you’re all set. That’s how I do it all the time now.

If you really want the Picasa Web Albums interface, just use this link: https://picasaweb.google.com/l…..redirect=1

If you don’t use Internet Explorer instead of Chrome, when you right-click there is no “Copy Image URL” … you have to click on Properties, then drag over the “Address URL” starting with the http all the way thru the .jpg.  Copy that and paste into the Blogger form.

If you really want to get rid of Google+ watch this video: pics56.Removing Google Plus to Use Picasa Web Albums

But, make sure to watch this one first:  pics52.Picasa 3.9 and Google Plus Sharing

Google+ sharing photos may be foreign from what we’re used to, but there are some really cool features (like Google Hangouts, you’ll see :-) that are only available thru Google+.

Hope to see you this winter – we’ll be in the Orlando area in February.

Thank  you, again!!   Now…I must study and follow all of your instructions.  If I can cope with Google + then it can hang around while I learn!!  The video  was helpful.  But…the greatest relief is that I can once again get pics into blogs.  Have a major rally blog coming up the first of January…..from Indio, California.  Incidentally the Frustrated Maestros and Glamarama rally in Sept., Goshem, IN I got pictures from a smart phone!  It was instantaneous and I think you helped me know to right click on the large pic and download to my computer.  I was then in business with pics from that rally.

Off the subject with the smartphone delivery but I really appreciate having steps to once again be back in business with pics in blogs.  Pics are what folks want to see in blogs.

Yes..hope to see you, also.  We will be in Brooksville for that SEA rally Jan. 26, 2014 returning Feb. 2.  Charles is directing Frustrated Maestros.  We will also be in Perry, GA for the International the middle of March for Charles to direct the Maestros…returning to HTR for 10 days!!  Must be crazy.  Folks can look:  http://www.frustratedmaestros……gspot.com/

Again…thanks…..RoxieSurprised

We’ll definitely see you in Perry, if not before.

Success!!  Thanks to you I printed out and followed your directions to get a Google+ picture into my personal blog.  The entire process was much faster than having to switch between compose and html while composing the blog…and getting pictures into it.  And the end result was not having any of those gaping white spaces in the finished blog.  I used Chrome.   So…I went from feeling completely defeated with many blogs to do to feeling totally accomplished!  Thanks so much.  For now I will keep Google + while I study it and see all of your recommended learning videos.       Roxie Wink
