I have 70,000 photos in Google photos. I am in the process of purging non necessary.
Is there any way I can somehow back the library onto a external drive now that they are all together. Any way at all.
The only way to back up all 70,000 at once is with the Google Takeout service. If you just want peace of mind that you have a local copy of all your photos, Takeout will do that. BUT, it’s a mess, you will end up with dozens of numbered zip files and no real way of knowing what pictures are where.
My preferred method is to manually download by month. But, that may be an overwhelming task for you at this point. Watch the video and see what you think – be sure to watch thru to the end.
