Just a heads up here – Picasa came out with a new version last week.  Some cool new features – no major changes that I can see.

Here's what I wrote about it:

You can manually download 3.8 by going to http://www.picasa.google.com

Look for 'Updating Picasa'

I love the face movie feature, but I need to play with it some more. I want to take my daughters face starting from when she was a baby and bring her up to today in sequence. I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet but love the program and the ability to add music to it.

Day after day as I try to remember, I find my forgetter working better and better.

David,

Has Picasa identified your daughter's face from childhood thru adult?  I don't have any examples personally, but I've been told that Picasa does a pretty good job of that.

Once they're identified, it's amazingly simple to make the face movie isn't it?

For others reading this post … you just select the person's face album and click the 'face movie' button.

Yes Chris, Picasa identified almost all of the pictures. I was amazed at how it selected one at age 18 months and all the way up to age 44. It only missed 3 out of over 100. On one of my grandaughters, it didn't miss any from age newborn to age 21 and there are 87 in that album. It did ask me about a few between two of my great grandkids and I got 5 of them wrong. Boy did I hear about that from my granddaughter.

Day after day as I try to remember, I find my forgetter working better and better.
