I just “named” a bunch of people that appear in my google photos. Is there a way to get rid of the faces I don’t recognize? If you take a picture of a crowd, google picks up the faces. They’re total strangers but there will be times it picks up someone I know so I don’t want to shut off the feature.
You can’t prevent Google Photos from identifying the faces, but you can “Remove Results” when you see a face you don’t want grouped.
- Open the face group
- Tap the 3-dot menu in upper right
- Tap “Remove Results”
- Now you have to select all the photos in the group, then tap Remove
This is also how you remove individual faces that are incorrectly included in a group.
