I just “named” a bunch of people that appear in my google photos.  Is there a way to get rid of the faces I don’t recognize?  If you take a picture of a crowd, google picks up the faces.  They’re total strangers but there will be times it picks up someone I know so I don’t want to shut off the feature.

You can’t prevent Google Photos from identifying the faces, but you can “Remove Results” when you see a face you don’t want grouped.

  1.  Open the face group
  2. Tap the 3-dot menu in upper right
  3. Tap “Remove Results”
  4. Now you have to select all the photos in the group, then tap Remove

This is also how you remove individual faces that are incorrectly included in a group.
