Hi –
I have been using my iPhone 6 as a camera for a while and needed to get them off my phone. I plugged the phone in to my computer and bingo they went to Photos. I like to use Picasa & picasa segregates these photos & I don’t see them recognized on my hard drive as I was not able to name the files?! How do I cope with them there?
Also the photos came in singular files in picasa with a gibberish name such as bEOYonBYTOilxbav58HEQ as doubles and definitely duplicates. I am concerned about space on my computer.
Multiple issues and questions – are there any answers to this puzzle? I am trying to keep it simple but now I need to get more photos off my phone?!

Your Apple Photos program is probably the default for grabbing pictures. To get the .jpg files to be stored in your finder – where Picasa can find them – use the Image Capture tool instead. Here is a tutorial video by MacMost.com on using Image capture.
