Q: I digitized a lot of slides and they all have the date of digitization. I would like to change the date to when the photo was taken. 
If you use Google Photos – you can change the date there by selecting the photos, click the 3-dot menu and Edit Date and Time. However, that just changes the date for purposes of Google PHotos – it doesn’t write to the metadata of the photo file. Use the Windows method below to change the metadata first, before uploading.
If you use Windows, you can open the folder where your photos are, Select photos, then find the “Date Taken” info in the details pane at the right, click on the date and change it to whatever you want and press Enter. 
If you don’t see the details pane, use the View menu at the top of the screen and select Details pane.
