I can download photos from Google photos to my computer individually, but can’t find a way to do larger numbers of them. I tried to download an album, and that doesn’t seem possible either. Is there no way to do that?
If not, is there a way to attach photos from GP to an email? I’ve always had to download them to my computer first.
Thanks,
Pam Abbey
Yes, you can definitely download large numbers of photos to your computer. Either by selecting multiple photos, or selecting an album. Here’s a video on selecting multiple photos.
Once they’re selected, click the 3-dot menu in upper right and choose Download. Choose the location (computer drive and folder) where you want them and click Save. The results will be a zip file. To see the photos, you will need to unzip it.
To download an album, first open the album, then click the 3-dot menu, and download. This will also create a .zip file.
Let me know if that helps.
Glad to hear it Pam. I hope you watch our Episode #145 of What Does This Button Do? – We record it live tomorrow (June 17) and we’ll be answering Google Photo questions like yours.
