Question from member:
First time to your info but used P3 for years. Should have found you sooner. Thanks. Question ( where do I ask a question ) I just took 3 more pix I want to import to P3, but don’t want to wait for the previous 95 to be loaded with “x” for dup. Any way with out deleting the 95 from the camera card ?
Answer:
If you use Picasa’s import feature – it needs to ‘acquire’ all the pictures on your card before you are able to select the ones you want to import. That’s why I recommend the process of importing all pictures, then deleting them from the card so you put a clean card back in the camera.
However, I know sometimes you don’t want to do that. For example, when I first started taking pictures with my phone, I liked keeping them all on my phone. It took a LONG time for Picasa to acquire all 450 pictures just for me to ask to import the last 10!
To avoid that lengthy process, I just avoid using Picasa for the import. I put the card, or plugged in the camera, to the computer – then chose to View Files and folders rather than Import with Picasa. This displays all folders in Windows (or Mac Finder) then I can find and copy the ones I want (a very fast process), and paste into My Pictures. When I open Picasa – it finds that there are new pictures and displays them in the library.
