I am beginning to work on getting my facial recognition corrected. I have never noticed before, but some of my pictures show two lines, one above each other with a third shorter line below them. I am wondering what this indicates.
Good Zoom get-together on Sunday. Hope you get a dive in, Gary and I had to stop diving one he had the Hydrocephalus diagnosis. It created issues with pressure on his brain, so he couldn’t take the dive pressure.
Would you like to have me invite you to my albums while I am on the world cruise?

Hi, sorry I missed yesterdays youtube. I was working with my daughter on visas for our trip.
I opened Google Photos yesterday and I didn’t have any of my photos that were taken prior to August 5th of this year appear. When i use the slide date on the right, nothing older comes up. When I choose albums older pictures come up, but if a picture is not in an album, I don’t see it.
Also if I explore by facial recognition I see the pictures. Have I made a change in the settings or something that doesn’t allow the photos to appear?
LuVerne
Hey Luverne,
No – there are no settings that could do that. My bet is the problem is on their end and it will clear up soon. Try again. Maybe open an incognito browser and try going to photos.google.com there, sign in with your google account and see if you get the same results. An incognito browser gives you a clean slate, in case it’s some other software on your computer that is conflicting with photos.
Let us know.

Chris,
I should have checked the Edge Browser and the new Brave app, the pictures appear as they should. I have sent feedback to Google about this, don’t know if that will help. The “pictures” are a vibrating gray blank in Google. Also as you suggested when I use an incognito window the pictures are fine. Just FYI.
LuVerne
If everything is fine in an incognito browser that tells me that there’s a problem with your main Chrome browser – something that is conflicting with Google Photos. Try clearing cache (while in Chrome, Ctrl/Shift/Del will take you straight to the Clear browsing data – I would check everything but passwords)
If that clears the problem, great! If not, I would take a look at your Chrome extensions (chrome://extensions/) and see if you recognize a new extension that was added about the same time this problem started. Remove that extension. Maybe even remove all extensions you don’t use.
Hope that helps.
