I am a seasoned GP user – about 25000 pix. Today all my face detection results are GONE. See attached file….for Before and After. I have tried turning face Grouping on and off to no avail. I read somewhere that they “May come back” – havent seen that yes. Not even sure how to tell GP to “re-do” the face detections. Appreciate any help here. Thx JonB

Update…am told by Google that this could take up to 24 hours for this to refresh on their end. Its been 12 and I see nothing but will wait the 24 as they say to see what happens. Thx

4 days later….they arent back. No clue what to do to “make” the come back. Any ideas?

The only tool we have is the setting for “Find similar faces”
You wrote that you turned it on and off, I assume you meant that you turned it off then on, right?
If it is back on and you’ve waited several days, that doesn’t sound good. The only other thing you can do is Uninstall Google Photos and reinstall. If you use the locked folder feature make sure to back up those photos elsewhere before uninstalling.

Chris – the faces are BACK !!!!! No clue why or how. I do have to do a fair amount of assigning “names” to some of the images – its something I can do as I look at pix or on a rainy day. TY for your help..jonB
