Q: I have been using Picasa and have a well developed folder and album system. I gather that you are recommending that people switch to Google Photos, if so, is there are a way to do this and keep all the organization work I did in Picasa? Thanks so much for all you guys do. You are the best!!! Priscilla
A: Priscilla – I’m afraid your folder and album system will not make the journey to Google Photos. But they will still be on your computer, no problem. You don’t have to “switch” to Google Photos. I know you have a lot invested in Picasa, and for your computer, it is still the way to go. But for working with pictures in the cloud – Google Photos is the way to go.
Google Photos gathers pictures from lots of sources, cameras, phones, tablets, computers – and puts them all in one big pile online – in the “cloud.” Then it has ways to sort thru that one big pile and show you groupings by date, or by people, place, or things. SEe if watching these videos helps
