The google photo pictures on my Galaxy S20 phone are not appearing on my Chromebook. It has been 20 days since I took

about 100 pictures on the phone. My google photos have  appeared successfully in the past but if I take more than a couple of

pictures they are very slow coming up on Chromebook.  Waiting days has occurred in the past but this ia the first time they have no

come up at all.

If your photos are backed up and you go to photos.google.com on your Chromebook – signed in to the same Google account as your phone – you should certainly be seeing all the same photos.

Things to check:

  1. On your phone: open Google Photos app and tap the account button in the upper right
  2. You will see a message there: “Backup complete” or “Waiting for Wi-Fi” or “99 left to back up” or ??? Please let me know what your message is there.

If it says Backup complete, then check the account it is backing up to.

  1. Also on your phone, Tap the Account button in upper right
  2. Photos Settings, Back up and Sync
  3. Account (yourname@gmail.com)

Now on your Chromebook

  1. Go to photos.google.com and make sure the account showing in the upper right corner is set to the same account as your phone
  2. Make sure to refresh the screen using the circular arrow in the upper left

Let me know if any of this helps

So that means that your phone doesn’t have the Internet connection it needs to back up the photos. Until it does, the photos will never show up on your Chromebook. You need to connect your phone to a good Wi-Fi connection, OR change your settings so that Google Photos can use your data plan to back up photos.

To change the Google Photos settings:

  1. select the account button in the upper right, then Photos Settings
  2. Back up & Sync
  3. Cell data usage – Back up photos over data – turn it on
