Plz adv your recmdd process & best (free) backup program w S22; 1cell, 2 pc², 3 cloud & 4 ext drives (physical)?
Went back under photos & didn’t see editing I was looking for. Any further would prob not be latest.
Now need to do Pics from S22U (occassional D300) to Google Cloud. Was saving SDs from S9 for physical, external storage. S22 no longer has. Need to turn pc back on².
Tom’s Guide says GIMP – not a very ‘encouraging’ title – doubt very impartial w all the compensation he makes from paid ones!!
Thx!

If you are using Google Photos, you don’t need GIMP. GIMP is a computer-based software for managing and editing your photos.
If you take photos with your phone, and you have Google Photos backup and sync turned on – then all your photo are copied to the cloud and you can work with them from your computer by browsing to Photos.Google.com

Sure, you can edit your photos using the App right on your phone (see this video: 655.GP-New Editor)
or using your computer at photos.google.com (see this video: 489.GP-Photo Editing)
Then, for a complete overview of editing, here’s an article with a longer video at the end:
