You have been so great to help me in the past. I hope you can help with this issue.
I bought a new laptop computer. I synchronized the files and folders that I wanted from my desktop computer to the new laptop. Only after that did I install Picasa on my laptop. Picasa dutifully, and automatically, scanned my laptop for faces. It seems to have found all the faces that I had named on my desktop. Unfortunately, on my laptop, all the faces are marked as “unknown names.” I don't even want to think about going through all those faces again on my laptop, let alone trying to match the faces/names on my desktop. Please help me!
When you say you 'synchronized' what exactly is that? Did you do a Backup from the old Picasa, and then restore to the new computer? If so, it should be able to find the names of faces IF you are logged in to your Google account. The face names actually come from your Google contacts.
If you just copied all files from computer to computer, without using Picasa – then I wouldn't expect this to work – but maybe.
Let me know.
