This has happen to multiple face recognition folders.  All of sudden have the main cover picture changed to a different person.  It keeps the name of the original person under the new wrong album cover photo. If I click on the folder the correct person’s face photos are all still there.  So they just change the cover album.

How do I report this bug?  More importantly will they put the right cover photo back and how do I prompt the correction/revert back?  I have tons of people organized or do I have to do it manually?

I am a one member.  I am logged into the correct account as I only have one account.

Thank you.

Sorry I had used contact us in error  which kept producing this error code:

Wow – that sounds like a bug alright. Same name, same person’s photos within the group, but new/wrong photo as the cover photo. I just checked my face albums and all the named albums have a cover photo of the person named.

As a Google One member, you have 2 methods to report it:

  1.  Send Feedback. Open Google Photos app, tap your account button (your face in upper right) tap Help and Feedback at bottom, then scroll down to Feedback. On the website, click the ? for Help and feedback, scroll to bottom and click feedback
  2.  Call or email Google One. Go to One.Google.com and make sure you are signed in. Click Support from the left menu. Scroll down to “contact us” and click Get Started. State your issue, click next, and finally choose that you want a return call

Meanwhile, if it were me, I’d wait a while before doing anything. It may be a temporary bug and will fix itself.
