I feel like an idiot particularly when I’m supposed to be teaching this stuff.
I create an album on my computer, then bring it up on my iPad and/or Pixel phone and the adjustment icon is replaced by a heart.
Chris, I see you use an “editing example” album often from your mobile devices; what, please, am I missing????
Editing class is 10/16 morning. TIA!
It seems to have something to do with the album being “shared” so I have a workaround. But odd since these are all my pictures.
Yeah – it took a bit of detective work to figure that one out. You just need to UNshare the album, then you can edit on the phone. To put it another way, the only time you can’t edit a photo in Google Photos is when:
- You’re viewing the photo from an album
AND - You’re using a mobile app
AND - The album is shared
To UNshare an album, click the 3-dot menu and Options, then turn off Link-sharing
