On Google Photos I will have my photos with dates and organized and later I will go back and the same photos have been uploaded again with a new date (perhaps 15-20 years later). The other day I had an entire album (which had dates back in the 1980’s) reloaded again with date of 2016. I turned off the sync thinking that was what was doing it but it continues. Please help.
Juanita,
Where are the originals of these photos? Are they on your computer? Is it Mac or Windows? With a little more information I might come up with an idea of what happened, but that sure sounds weird.
The album from the 1980s that re-uploaded in 2016 – Do you have duplicates? one in 1980 and one in 2016?
Turning off sync was certainly a good idea. Once all my collection of photos from my computer were uploaded, I stopped using Backup and Sync since I no longer put photos on my computer.
Let me know and we’ll go from there.
