I have accumulated a large number of duplicate photo files in Picasa, Google photos and elsewhere. The thought of going through them all one by one along with concern for losing a file that I want has prevented me from doing anything about it. I recently read of an app called Duplicate Photos Fixer that will do this. What if anything do you know about it or other approaches to eliminating duplicate photo files?
Thank you!
Peter
If you’re still using Picasa, it does have a tool for finding duplicates. You still have to choose which ones to delete, but the tool certainly helps. Here’s an article I wrote with instructions:
As for Duplicate photo fixer – I haven’t used it (or any duplicate finder tool) It looks like a good possibility, just realize it only works on photos on your computer, so it won’t help with duplicates that are just in the Google Photos cloud.
