There is a surprisingly painless way to combine photos from one Google account to another:
- Log in to Account A
- Settings, Shared Library, Share with Account B, Grant access to entire library
- Log in to Account B
- Settings, Shared Library, Shared from Account A, Save to Library: All Photos
As for how to eliminate the Google account you no longer want, I would first check all settings everywhere and make sure that the unwanted account is not being used. I mean in Gmail, Google Photos, Blogger, Google calendar, Google Drive etc. and on any phones or tablets. If you are positive that the account is not being used anywhere, then you can delete the account by going to https://myaccount.google.com/ – logging in with the account you want to delete, use the Account preferences section, and delete account. Before deleting, this page also gives you a chance to see what is being stored in the account – look at Google Drive.
Hope that helps
