I’m getting most of the pictures how I want them in the new Google photos.  I realized that there were a number of years I was missing any photos and realized that was when my father bought a camera and most of our memories were on the film.  I was able to move them to DVDs when we retired and want them backed up to the videos online in Google Photos.  Can I just copy or upload these DVD files?  I also have a DVD created when we were on the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea.  I don’t seem to be able to play a file I copied to my videos in my picture folder.  There are two or three others that were on DVDs that we received when diving.

I’d appreciate any thoughts on how I can handle this.

Really enjoyed the show on Sunday, very informative.

LuVerne, as long as the pictures are on the DVDs in .jpg and .mp4 files, then it’s easy. Here’s your video:

624.GP-Upload from CD

If it’s a movie DVD – that’s a horse of a different color. Let me know.

Pretty much what I was doing, but I forgot you could just drag them.  I guess my only issue is getting “commercial” Videos provided by tour guides and Dive Masters.

On the “commercial” videos, can you see the files on the disk? Are they VOB files?

If so, you need some kind of conversion. Google for “convert vob to mp4” Here is one promising site I found:

Yes they are VOB files.  I’ll  try the convert.  Thanks.  I may have said before, but these are videos given to us by various tours.
