I am having difficulty linking google photos to my google maps (my place custom map). When I click on the camera and then select Your Photos it should be showing all my google photos but instead it is showing old photos and nowhere near the number I have in google photos. I watched all the videos and can’t find where it shows how to link photos to maps. Additionally I am logged into google on both maps and photos. Any ideas?
Did you watch video 468? It shows how I add my photos from Google Photos to My Maps.
I also recommend looking thru the whole Learning Guide for My Maps
As for not seeing your photos when you click on the camera and Your Photos, I can only think of 2 reasons:
- Different accounts – are you sure you’re signed in to google with the same account for both photos and my maps. It sounds like you are so …
- The photos that show in My Maps – your photos are in an indecipherable order! It is showing albums, not your library. So, the best thing to do is go into Google Photos and create an album with the photo you want to use in your map. In the video I referred to an album I called photos for my map! If you don’t know how to make an album, see this video:

Let me know if this helps.
