I just watched your latest video for the new FACEBOOK features in which you talked about the 4 columns. I have the 4th column, but not the 'ticker' I only have a list of my facebook friends. I cannot see the horizontal bar to move it down so that the 'ticker' shows up. Any advice?
Thank you for your informative videos.

Connie,
I would say that maybe you haven't had it rolled out to you yet, but if you have the fourth column at all – it sounds like you have the new page. I would try a different browser. Meaning … if you're using Internet Explorer, try Firefox or Chrome. If you're using Firefox, try Internet Explorer or Chrome. I'm using all three of them all the time – slightly different results with each.
As for the Friends list in the lower right – just the ones with the green dot are online and available to chat.
If it makes you feel any better, this facebook forum message shows that you're not the only one with this issue.
I'm curious – have you tried accessing your account on someone else's computer?
Do you have any facebook apps installed? They are listed in your left sidebar.

Just checking back in. Still have no “ticker” and it doesn't make any difference what browser I use. I checked out my FB on my husband's computer, but he doesn't have the new FB format. I do have some apps installed, they must have come with FB as I never installed/added anything. And the saga continues, guess I'll live just fine without it.
I asked Mark Zuckerburg about this and here is what he said:
“The Ticker only shows up for people with a certain level of account activity. If you don't see ticker, it's probably because you don't use Facebook a lot, so there's not enough content to make ticker useful to you.
If you like how active you are on Facebook right now, you don't need to change anything. If you'd like to be more active, you can:
Add people you know well as friends
Connect with Facebook Pages you like “

I love this forum…stuff just magically falls from the “Cloud”. I'm so happy I'm not alone with this issue. I hate lonely! I do have three FB apps-photos, game requests and music. Don't know why I have them, but I do. I was on FB at my niece's house on her computer. I used Firefox and Chrome as well as my usual Internet Explorer. Mr. Geek makes sense about activity, although I'm on FB every day. Well, guess some are just destined to be “ticker-less”. But like Connie, I'll be OK.
Seriously, thanks for the replies….it was fun
